asma-1 electronic asthma monitor

Vitalograph asma-1, the advanced Electronic Asthma Monitor

"Attention to FEV1 and FEV1/FEV6 ratio, rather than relying on peak flow alone, is improving recognition of airflow obstruction and aiding the management of exacerbations. This is a cost-effective approach to improving care. With disposable expiratory mouth pieces the Asma-1 eliminates the need (for) each student or patient to have their own peak flow meter at school and in clinical settings" says Ben Francisco, Director of Asthma Ready Communities and Research Assistant Professor for Child Health Pulmonary Medicine & Allergy School of Medicine University of Missouri Health Systems.

This easy to use device features a large, clear electronic display and provides accurate asthma monitoring within the home and medical environment. The Vitalograph asma-1 electronic asthma monitor measures both FEV1 and PEF and provides a color zone indicator of current performance compared to personal best.

Test data is automatically stored for the physician to review at the next appointment. Small, light-weight and affordable, the asma-1 makes it convenient and easy for the patients to monitor and manage their asthma. The asma-1 USB version with Vitalograph Report software provides PDF reports with additional information and graphs.

FEV1 measurements are subject to less diurnal variation than peak flow measurements, leading to more accurate monitoring. The accuracy of the Vitalograph asma-1 is further enhanced by automatic test quality of blow assessment and personalized PEF/FEV1 color zones. The risk of errors arising from the completion of manual record cards is eliminated through the storage of up to 600 measurement sessions. Suitable for multi-subject use with standard size SafeTway mouthpieces, the Vitalograph asma-1 is easy to clean and uses long life AAA batteries.
