FEV1 measurements are subject to less diurnal variation than peak flow measurements, leading to more accurate monitoring. The accuracy of the Vitalograph asma-1 is further enhanced by automatic test quality of blow assessment and personalized PEF/FEV1 color zones. The risk of errors arising from the completion of manual record cards is eliminated through the storage of up to 600 measurement sessions.
